London - Some very brief notes

• was cold and grey most of the time
  
• did not feel as big as i thought it would despite its sprawling nature. overall the streets are quite small -- even the main ones -- and there are not really very many highrises
  
• it has been hard to make the conversion from a pot drinker to a pint drinking (although i am getting much better at it over here in the czech republic)
  
• south africans and australians are a dime a dozen which means you get a two for one deal with me
  
• they eat way too much bread. the staple food item seems to be sandwiches which they call sarnies
  
• using the tube i felt a lot like a pinball in a pinball machine
  
• tv sucks. lots of content but nothing really of quality
  
  

there are other things too but they escape me at the moment so will add them if and when they resurface from the dark pool that is the memory.

just wanted to make a list of the books that i have read on my travels, just for the hell of it. so here is what i have read so far.
